Fortuna acquires a Yearling Filly by Eminent out of the Zabeel Mare, Katy O’Beel
Lot 883 – from the NZ Bloodstock Karaka Book 2 Sale – the Yearling Filly by the first season Sire EMINENT out of KATY O’BEEL (By Zabeel) has been acquired by the David Ellis/Fortuna Racing combination
Given the stable name “Celeb” she is now being broken in after having had a short post sale spell at Te Akau Stud and will then be prepared for racing in New Zealand by nine time Premiership winning Trainer, Mark Walker of Te Akau Racing Stables at Matamata
Mark Walker comments about this Filly “This Filly really caught my eye during inspections – she is a beautiful moving filly that has thrown very much to her Zabeel dam sire – her dam Katy O’Beel is a winner over distance trips and she is a daughter of that wonderful race mare KATY KEEN – this girl is bred to stay, she has NZ Oaks as a three year old written all over her and is superb value at the price we got her for. I can’t wait to get her into my Stable”

Yearling Filly by Eminent out of Katy O’Beel – “Celeb”
By the first season Sire EMINENT, a Group winning son of the mighty Frankel, she is out of a winning Zabeel mare KATY O’BEEL (wins were at 2000m plus) and a grand daughter of KATY KEEN, the winner of 10 races, seven in succession to 2500m – this is a very tough NZ pedigree
This Filly will be syndicated by Fortuna to its clients and the general public – Syndicate paperwork still being prepared but shares will be available down to 1% and we are taking expressions of interest NOW – $6,400 per 10% share, $3,200 per 5% share, $1,600 per 2.5 share, $640 per 1% share all inclusive of GST, Fees, Karaka Million Fee, Insurance to 31 Jan 2023 and working capital
Ongoing costs start 1 June 2022 at $40 per month per each 1% share
