Fortuna Horses racing this weekend

Singapore Friday 1st May

READY FORTUNE is down to race in a Class 5 1600 metre event, but is on the ballot and is unlikely to get a start. Probably a blessing in disguise given his wide draw on the “D” track with the rail right out. He will now be set to race the following Friday 8th May in a Class 5 1700 metre event, a distance which will suit him perfectly.

Te Rapa Saturday 2nd May

SIR DARCI resumes after a long lay off in Race 3 in the Rating 85 1200 metre event. Probably a tad short for him, but he trialed well recently and seems to be over the physical issues that have troubled him this season. A four win horse with a great turn of foot, he should be rattling home at the end on a surface that will suit. Matt Cameron to ride.

SELINE contests Race 9, the Maiden 1600; this mare has been there or thereabouts in most of her races this season without quite getting the win. At a very suitable distance on a surface that will suit, she is capable of featuring in this. Brazilian rider Rafael Schistl takes the mount.

Singapore Sunday 3rd May

3yo Filly SECRET SPICE contests a Class 4 event over 1600 metres. A winner at the 1200 metre trip two starts back, she could well be a surprise packet in this race as she is racing in great form, has a nice draw, a featherweight to carry (49kgs) and the distance will suit her perfectly. Apprentice M M Firdaus takes the ride.
