El Roca – Megara Yearling Filly
David Ellis says “John, we loved this Filly at inspections – great walk, strong through the shoulder and plenty of scope to develop into a powerful 3yo. She represents great value at the price you paid for her”
Trainer Mark Walker says “John, this Filly by El Roca really caught out eye at inspections – she is very athletic with a great walk and we think she could run as an Autumn 2yo but train on nicely to be a lovely 1600m plus type 3yo – out of a mare by Encosta de Lago who is a Champion Broodmare sire, the dam herself had had four winners out of five to the races including one that is a Stakes winner and one who is Stakes placed – she is a ripper!! “
This Filly will now go to Te Akau Stud for 6 weeks in the paddock ahead of being broken in
She is registered for the Karaka Millions Race Series – meaning she is eligible to race in the Karaka Millions 2yo Race for $1m in 2025 and the Karaka Millions 3yo Race for $1.5m in 2026 – she is also eligible to run in the new $3.5m Slot race over 1500m as a 3yo in 2026
