Three Fortuna Horses set to extend their racing careers in Singapore

Fortuna horses Tell A Tale, Rio Fortune and Volkarrie will all travel to Singapore in the Spring to be part of the new Te Akau international stable based there under the leadership of Mark Walker.

Tell A Tale, now a rising 5yo, is a multiple Group winner in New Zealand who has consistently raced at the top level during his career. Rio Fortune, now a rising 4yo, from a small number of starts has won twice at Listed level and has run second by a nose in a Group event. Volkarrie, a rising 5yo, has proven to be a very "handy" type, having won five times and only rarely been out of the money from his nineteen raceday starts.

" This is a logical move for these three horses" says Syndicate Manager, John Galvin, " Tell A Tale is clearly a high class racehorse and his aim during the coming twelve moths in Singapore will be to compete at the highest level, with his prime target the Singapore Airlines Cup, run for S$3m in stakes, in May 2011. Rio Fortune is a real up and comer and he will be aiming at the very lucrative 4yo series races, culminating in the Singapore Derby (run for 4yo's) in July 2011. Volkarrie will contest handicap races and will start off in Class 2 in Singapore where he will contest races for S$95k in prizemoney."
